We’re proud of our staff’s many years of experience and dedication to top quality dentistry – and their ability to make our patients feel welcome and comfortable. Here’s a little bit about each of them…

Jennifer Bauer, Hygienist

Jennifer relocated to the Roaring Fork Valley from the Front Range and joined the Carbondale Family Dental team in the summer of 2018. She has been in the dental field for almost 30 years, and enjoys helping patients have healthy mouths, beautiful smiles and be healthy overall, using natural products when available. Jennifer is passionate about educating her patients in the importance of oral hygiene. She likes the interpersonal relationships, conservative approach and team feel here at Carbondale Family Dental. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, and spending time with her kids and family.

Karen Schreiber, Hygienist

There are those people that love to get their teeth cleaned, and then there are the rest of the people who come because they understand the overall health benefits of regular cleanings but, just wish they could leave their teeth at the door and pick them up an hour later. Karen enjoys the opportunity to help people feel welcome, cared for, and informed. She likes for people to leave our office feeling not only smooth clean teeth but also to feel empowered to further their care, on their own, on a daily basis and also informed, to enable good dental choices that will lead to more comfort and fewer dental visits. Karen completed her education in dental hygiene at The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston Dental Branch, where she received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award for outstanding clinical skills and professional judgement. She has practiced for 25 years both in the US and in Switzerland. When not making patients feel at home in our practice, she is making her home in Carbondale, with her husband and twin boys. She loves cooking, hiking , yoga and reading.

Belem Villalovos, Hygienist
Belem received her degree in dental hygiene from Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely in 2017, where she graduated at the top of her class and was given the Western Society of Periodontology Award for clinical excellence. In addition to her hygienist training, Belem graduated from dental school in Peru in 2008, has attained specialized advanced training with dental lasers, and is extremely dedicated to providing the highest level of service with the latest technologies available.
Belem was born and raised in Peru. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French. In 2009, she did an exchange program in Vail, Colo., and quickly decided to call the mountains her home. When not at the office, Belem spends time with her son, Joaquin, along with their Goldendoodle, Buddy. Outside of dentistry, her passions include hiking, running, crossfit, yoga, and training for the occasional endurance event.

Veronica Mata, Dental Assistant

Veronica was born and raised in Carbondale and has been part of the team at Carbondale Family Dental for over 20 years. Her friendly and caring demeanor and wealth of experience are an asset to the practice and the patients that she serves. Veronica is fluent in Spanish. Outside the office, you'll find Vero out and about in Carbondale and spending time with her large extended family.

Stephanie Rosa, Dental Assistant

Stephanie joined Carbondale Family Dental in 2013 and is a native of the Roaring Fork Valley. She brings experience and a quiet confidence to the practice.

Lindsy Vega, Dental Assistant
Lindsy joined our team in the fall of 2020 after finishing her dental assisting training at the Dental Assistant School of Vail Valley. She was born and raised in Carbondale and we are excited to have her as part of our team. She enjoys the dental field because there is always something new to learn and making patients feel safe and comfortable creates a positive outlook for their future visits, which she finds very satisfying.

Nathaly Cortes, Dental Assistant
Nathaly is new to the world of dentistry and the newest member of our clinical team. She is eager to learn and looks forward to a career in the dental field.

Jackie Garcia, Hygiene Assistant
Jackie grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and recently completed her training at the Dental Assistant School of the Vail Valley. She joined our team in the summer of 2022 and is instrumental in helping our hygienists and clinical staff.

Katy Nardecchia, Business Manager
Katy has been working behind the scenes at Carbondale Family Dental since Andy purchased the practice in 2012. In January 2014, she started working in the office, taking on human resources, marketing, business operations, and IT responsibilities and is currently managing the front office. Katy is a native of the Roaring Fork Valley and enjoys running the family business in this great community surrounded by family and good friends. Tesia Zuba, Front Office Associate
Tesia joined the Carbondale Family Dental team in 2018. Her friendly personality and attention to detail are a great asset to our office. Tesia has enjoyed getting to know more about dentistry and loves the opportunity to help people. Outside of work, she can be found curled up with a book, in the garden, in the pool, and exploring the surrounding mountains with her family.

Lupita Villa, Front Office Associate
Lupita joined Carbondale Family Dental in the fall of 2022 with several years of experience working the front desk in the medical field. She greets our patients with her infectious smile and is fluent in Spanish. Lupita, like several of our staff, is a native of the Roaring Fork Valley. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music and going for walks.
